Description
A refractometer is a device that can be used to determine the physical properties of liquids by measuring their refractive index on the environment interface.
The refractometer can be used to determine the degree of charge accumulator , the solidification temperature of coolants based propylene glycol or ethyl alcohol as well as the freezing point washer fluids .
The product is delivered in complete condition and does not require no additional assembly. A pipette is included with the refractometer, screwdriver and cloth.
Liquid measurement
1) With pipette scoop up a small amount of liquid.
2) Lift the cover plate and apply 2-3 drops of liquid to the prism of the device.
3) Tilt the cover plate back so that the liquid to be measured spread evenly and without bubbles over the surface of the prism.
4) After 30 seconds, point the cover plate at the source lights and look into the eyepiece.
5) The image needs to be focused, using the focus ring. And subtract the position of the light / shadow transition on the appropriate scale indicating the properties of the liquid.
