CAREX - set for plastic headlights RENOVATION

Renovation kit to mechanically remove the damaged headlight layer.

This kit is used for scratched, cracked or otherwise deeply damaged headlights. Grinding and subsequent polishing returns clarity, surface grayness, yellowing and refraction of the headlamps.

By means of a conventional drill or drill, it removes the gaps, stumps from the stones, abrasions, cracks and other surface defects in parts made of hardened, not only clear, plastic for motoring, etc. Polishing is done only mechanically without chemical deterioration of the surface of the headlamp. Since CAREX is a water based polishing paste, it is not chemically aggressive, as a competitive paste, intended mostly for manual polishing.

Use :

• The headlights are washed, dried and the surrounding parts are covered with, for example, masking tape.
• The carrier is attached to the drill, and a grinding wheel of a given grain size is attached to it with Velcro according to the initial state of the headlight. Defects on the surface are sanded dry with P240 grit, other grits with simultaneous wetting of the surface with water until P3000 grit is used.
• Next, a polishing foam moistened with a few drops of water is attached to the carrier, a little polishing paste is applied to it with a finger, and the surface of the headlights is polished to the desired condition, with occasional wetting of the foam or addition of paste.
• After washing and drying, a thin protective film of carnauba wax is applied to the surface with an applicator, which is polished with a second applicator after 20 minutes.
• Due to the mechanical use of the kit, the result is incomparable compared to manual polishing.
